How to check us, and spot a fake.

Fake Germany job offers follow the same script every time. Here is what Velai will never do, how to verify that we are real, and what to do if someone uses our name.

What we will never ask you for

If someone asks for these in our name, stop.

  • Money to join, to be reviewed, or to interview

  • A copy of your passport over Instagram or WhatsApp

  • A “processing”, “registration” or “visa” fee

  • A payment to a personal bank account or UPI ID

Every cost in writing, before you sign anything.

Velai shows you every cost in writing before you sign anything. Nothing is due before you have a job offer from a German employer. If anyone asks you to pay earlier, it is not us.

How we contact you

By email only, from an @velai.eu address.
Red flags

Five signs a Germany job offer is fake.

01

A promised visa

Only the German embassy decides on a visa. Nobody can promise one.

02

Pay before an offer

Any fee before you hold a written job offer from a named German company.

03

An unnamed “consultant”

No company name, no register number, no office you can call.

04

WhatsApp-only contact

A phone number as the only channel, with no company email or website behind it.

05

Pressure to decide today

“Only 2 spots left” or “offer expires tonight”. Real employers give you time.
