What you get

One service instead of four vendors.

Sourcing, screening, visa and relocation usually sit with different agencies. Velai runs them as one process — with clear owners and nothing falling between the cracks.

Curated shortlists, not CV floods

You receive a shortlist of matched profiles, each with a match score and the reasons behind it.

Vetted before you meet anyone

Degree and recognition status, German level, notice period, salary expectations and relocation readiness — reviewed by a person before a profile is sent.

Match scores you can interrogate

Every score shows why a profile fits: skill overlap, German level, availability, seniority. You see the gaps as well as the strengths.

Visa and Blue Card, prepared

Recognition (Anabin, ZAB), the §18g application and embassy appointments — prepared and tracked by your account manager. The authorities decide; nothing gets stuck with you.

Relocation, planned to arrival

Twelve tracked steps from signed contract to first working day — documents, flights, housing, Anmeldung. You see the progress; nobody chases emails.

One account manager

One person owns your hiring: a single point of contact for shortlists, interviews, paperwork and the hard questions.

How it works

  1. 01

    Tell us who you need

One call about the role: skills, seniority, German level, location. Your account manager maps it against the profiles on file and tells you honestly how well we can cover it.

  2. 02

    Meet vetted professionals

A curated shortlist of matched profiles with match scores, reasons and honest notes on any gaps. You choose who to meet.

  3. 03

    Interview and hire

We coordinate scheduling across time zones and gather feedback quickly. You run the interviews your way and make the offer — a permanent contract with you as the employer.

  4. 04

We help get your hire to Germany

Recognition, Blue Card, embassy appointment, flights, temporary housing, city registration — planned, tracked and owned by your account manager until the first working day.

Candidate vetting

What “vetted” actually means.

Before any profile reaches your shortlist, it goes through the same checks. No exceptions — including professionals who apply directly.

Degree and university status

We check Anabin status and, where needed, start the ZAB evaluation before we match — not after you have fallen for a profile.

Technical screening in the discipline

A structured conversation with someone who knows the field — real project walk-throughs, not quiz questions.

German level, verified

Certificates checked and level confirmed — stated honestly on every profile, including the gaps.

Notice period and salary expectations

Confirmed in a personal call, so offers don't fail on surprises.

Relocation readiness

Documents complete, timeline realistic, family situation discussed where relevant.

What we leave to you
  • Culture fit — you know your team; we don't pretend to.
  • Your technical interviews — depth in your specific stack and products.
  • The hiring decision — always and only yours.
Matching, in the open

Every shortlist shows its reasoning.

This is what you receive for each role — scored profiles with reasons, next to the job as your account manager sees it.

Relocation & support

Who does what — down to the last form.

Four parties, clear lines. This is the same table your account manager walks through on the first call.

You (the employer)

Define the role, run interviews, decide, sign the contract, pay the salary, provide workplace and onboarding.

The product

Reminders, checklists and status tracking run in the product. Your account manager handles everything that needs judgement: documents, signatures, special situations.

Your account manager

Shortlists and schedules, owns recognition, visa application and relocation logistics — your one contact whenever something needs judgement.

Authorities

Embassy, Ausländerbehörde, Bürgeramt — they decide. Your account manager books, prepares and follows up.

Relocation support

Relocation support such as German courses, flights or temporary housing is agreed per employer and written into your offer.

Blue Card details are informational — not legal advice. Confirm with official sources or your account manager.

Software does the legwork. A person owns the outcome.

You get both: the product for the routine work — and a named account manager for everything that needs judgement, signatures or a phone call.

The product

Software

Reminders, checklists and status tracking run in the product. Your account manager handles everything that needs judgement: documents, signatures, special situations.

Your account manager

A person you know

  • Owns your hiring from first call to first working day
  • Prepares the visa and recognition paperwork and books the appointments
  • Prepares candidates for your interviews — and you for the offer
  • Takes the hard cases: rejections, delays, special situations

Anything sensitive — documents, signatures, special situations — goes straight to your account manager.

Honest about time

How long does it take? It depends — and we map it.

Every case is different. Visa processing times are set by the German authorities and vary by case and by location. What we can promise: after the first call, your account manager maps a realistic schedule for your role, keeps every step moving, and tells you early when something shifts — no optimistic guessing.

What your schedule depends on
  • Recognition status — Anabin-listed degrees are ready sooner than cases needing a ZAB evaluation.
  • Notice period — the profile states it upfront; we confirm it in the vetting call.
  • Embassy appointment availability — varies by mission and season; we book as early as possible.
  • German course needs — a German course can sit inside the schedule where a role needs more German.
